The Easter Trail

What a day on Saturday, 18 March! A little rain didn’t stop the FoSA Bunny Squad nor all our egg hunters! With a lot of smiles, muddy fun was had as children ran to gather a thousand eggs hidden in the pre-prep playground and lower field. Eggs were filled with all sorts of treasures for our little people, pencil sharpeners, erasers, tattoos, small toys, and some special St Andrew’s teddies. With so many excited children racing everywhere one would have thought it was a mud run! Luckily the rain did ease up and everyone was able to have a play with friends old and new.

As always, the forest school activity under the direction of our forest school leader Camilla Bowker was a huge success. So many natural necklaces were proudly worn by happy children! The FoSA trail events wouldn’t be nearly as fun without our forest school activities, they certainly add to the magic of the day. We had over 90 children complete our Easter Trail; they were able to choose between chocolate or an Easter themed pinwheel when they shouted out the secret word. Even though the weather did put a dampener on our sales at the drinks stall, we did sell a few raffle tickets and had some ‘Name the Bunny’ submissions. You can see the names of our winners in the last school newsletter of the Easter Term.

We had several prospective and new families join the event; it’s a great way to introduce them to our incredible community at St Andrew’s. Thank you for making them feel so welcome and highlighting the strength of our school and illustrating that we are a large and supportive family!

We also want to thank all the volunteers who came to support the event. You are all amazing and have made the FoSA Bunny Squad superstar list! We hope everyone had an egg-cellent time!
